Williamsburg Police Department thwarted four drug traffickers

According to Williamsburg Police Department, Officer Dorman Patrick Jr. arrested four individuals for drug trafficking on Wednesday, January 12.

The arrests happened along Highland Park Drive at 2 a.m. following a traffic stop on a 2004 vehicle.

Approximately ten grams of suspected methamphetamine were found during the investigation, along with a digital scale, cash, paraphernalia, marijuana, and hydrocodone pills.

The four individuals arrested were:

• Jonathan J. Bryant, 35, of North 6th Street

• Joshua L. Brooks, 30, of Piney Grove Road

• Della C. Beams, 52, of Sanders Creek Road

• Jamie L. Mullins, 34, of Piney Grove Road

All four were lodged in the Whitley County Detention Center and charged with trafficking in a Controlled Substance – First Degree, First Offense - over two grams, Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of a Controlled Substance - First Degree - Drug Unspecified.

Bryant was also served with a warrant for failure to appear and charged with disregarding a stop sign and careless driving.

Officer Patrick was assisted by K-9 Officer Johnny Fulton, K-9 Sergeant Elijah Hunter, and Officer Daniel Lovitt.
