“It has been a busy month for drug arrests,” said Williamsburg Police Chief Wayne Bird, “Officers at WPD are working hard and will continue to work hard in an effort to make Williamsburg a safer community.”
Williamsburg Police Department arrested five suspects this month to crack down on illegal drug trafficking and drug misuse in the area.
The five individuals were arrested and charged with:
- Jasmine Siler, 18, of Hwy 25-W North
Charge: Complicity to Trafficking in a Controlled Substance - First Degree, First Offense - Greater than Two Grams of Methamphetamine.
- Nathan E. Bryant, 32, of Rockholds
Charge: Possession of a Controlled Substance – First Degree, First Offense - Methamphetamine.
- Cecil R. Griffith Sr., 53, of Mount Morgan
Charge: Possession of a Controlled Substance - First Degree, First Offense - Methamphetamine.
- Edna Holt, 41, of Lot-Mud Creek Road
Charge: Possession of a Controlled Substance - First Degree, First Offense - Heroin, Drug Paraphernalia, Endangering the Welfare of a Minor
- Michelle Moses, 32, of Jellico, TN
Charges: Possession of a Controlled Substance – First Degree, First Offense - Heroin, Drug Paraphernalia, DUI First Offense, Endangering the Welfare of a Minor, No Registration Plates, No Registration Receipt, Failure to use Child Restraint Device.
All suspects were lodged in the Whitley County Detention Center.
