On Monday, a Williamsburg man was arrested after allegedly sexually abusing his 6-year-old daughter.
Williamsburg Police Department assisted the Whitley County Department of Child Based Services (DCBS) after receiving the victim's complaint of being sexually abused on three separate occasions.
The victim stated she lives with her dad, Armando S. Pila, one night a week when the abuse reportedly occurred and with her grandmother the rest of the time due to her dad's work schedule.
Pila, 40, of Williamsburg, was arrested and charged with Sexual Abuse – First Degree – Victim under 12 years of age.
The arrest citation stated the arrest was made due to Pila having a passport for himself and his daughter. Deputies were weary he would leave the region or country.
The victim has a Child Advocacy Center Interview scheduled through DCBS. Kentucky State Police continues to investigate.
