Williamsburg Police Department (WPD) is investigating after a convicted felon was found with over 20 firearms at his residence in Whitley County on June 16.
Clinton R. Bowling, 62, of Wolf Creek Road, is accused of having over 20 firearms, one of which was determined stolen, according to the press release from WPD.
Officials say Bowling is also accused of being in possession of a hardware tool/machine with an intentionally obscured serial number.
Bowling remains in Whitley County Detention Center with charges of Possession of a Firearm/Handgun by a Convicted felon, Receiving Stolen Property - Firearm, and Obscuring the Identity of a Machine $500<$10,000.
WPD Officers are continuing to investigate as federal charges are possible in this case.
All criminal defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
