Two were arrested with over two pounds of meth and six firearms in Laurel County

Laurel County Sheriff’s Office and London City Police teamed up to conduct a traffic stop early Tuesday morning after it was suspected that two people inside a Nissan were carrying over two pounds of methamphetamine, marijuana, six firearms, and a large amount of cash.

Sheriff's Interdiction Unit members Landry Collett and Justin Taylor, Detective Sgt Richard Dalrymple, and Detective Bryon Lawson, along with London City Police, arrested the two on U.S. 25, just 4 miles south of London.

The two accused were identified as:

• Michael Christopher Berry, 40, of Rineyville, KY

• Amara Paige Creech, 34, of Highland, Illinois

Both were charged with methamphetamine trafficking, trafficking marijuana, and possession of a stolen firearm and were lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.

Laurel County Sheriff John Root stated that drug investigations and arrests will continue in Laurel County.
