Several units respond to Christmas fire in Knox County Ky, friends asking the public to help victim

A member of the Knox County Ky SORT team and college student is without a home after a Christmas fire in the county.

While the cause of the fire is currently unknown, it has been confirmed the woman was out of town for the holidays.

Responding to the blaze was the Woodbine and Little Poplar Creek Fire Departments.

The residence was a total loss and friends of hers are reaching out to the community to help her. A facebook post from the uncle of the woman's boyfriend states: "She is from Indiana and goes to college at Union College. She is in need of clothes, shoes, hygiene items, anything and everything. Clothes size large and shoe size 8.5. Horrible way to celebrate Christmas. Any help will be greatly appreciated!"
