London man arrested after argument turns physical

Laurel County Deputies are investigating a reported verbal altercation that turned physical this past weekend.

According to a release from Laurel County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to a possible assault just off Ray Johnson Road, four miles north of London, on Saturday.

Upon arrival, Deputy Richie learned that a verbal argument had reportedly turned into an apparent physical assault.

Tajh O’Neal, 22, of London, allegedly head-butted a female victim there and kicked her.

Deputy Richie also noted a visible cut on the suspect’s head and multiple small markings on the victim's arms. He also determined that O’Neal was wanted on an outstanding warrant.

O'Neal was charged with Assault – Fourth   Degree and charged on a Whitley District Court bench warrant of arrest - Failure to Appear in Court.

O’Neal was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.

All criminal defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
