The Corbin Lady Redhounds earned a trip to the 13th Region Championship game by upsetting the favorite North Laurel 58-46 on Friday night.
Kallie Housley set the tone early for the Lady Redhounds as the sensational sophomore led her team to victory with a 17-point performance. Bailey Stewart added 15 points. Darcie Anderson and Shelby Stewart chipped in eight points each for the Lady Redhounds.
Corbin came out aggressive and took an 11-8 lead at the end of the first quarter, but the second quarter hurt the Lady Jaguars. In the second quarter, the Lady Redhounds outscored North Laurel 19-11 to take a 30-19 advantage at the half.

Housley poured in 11 points in the first half of play. Stewart took over in the second half with 11 points. Emily Sizemore led the Lady Jaguars with 12 points and seven rebounds. Hailee Valentine finished with nine points and three steals. She finishes her career at North Laurel as the all-time leading scorer in school history.
The Lady Jaguars finished their season with a 24-7 record, while the Lady Redhounds improved to 25-6 with a chance to claim a region title on Saturday.
