Knox County struggling with COVID-19 positivity rates

With the statewide average new cases per day at 50.4 per 100,000 citizens, Knox County is struggling at 78.4 per 100,000.

Laurel County is near the average at 48.6. Whitley County is the best in the region at 38.6 per 100,000.

Overall, the state has 820,715 cases.

Unlike previous waves of COVID-19, this wave, led by the Delta variant, shows the highest number of cases in the 20- to 29-year-old age range.

Positivity Rate: 3.74%

Cases: 9,503
