The Knox County Grand Jury indicted a Flat Lick man who is accused of robbing a Dollar General store at gunpoint in Flat Lick earlier this month.

The indictment states: “by threatening the use of physical force while armed with a firearm and in the course of committing a theft from Dollar General” as well as “by threatening the use of physical force while armed with a firearm and in the course of committing a theft from Roy Gray, Jr.”
On March 10, Knox County Sheriff Mike Smith, Sgt Carl Frith, and Deputy Elijah Broughton responded to a reported armed robbery at the Dollar General store located at 6825 South US 25 E in Flat Lick, Ky.
Once on scene, Deputy Broughton learned that the suspect robbed the store clerk at gunpoint and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.
After viewing surveillance footage, Sgt. Frith then identified the suspect as Lee Warren, 35, of Flat Lick.
Warren reportedly fled the scene on a white 3-wheeled motorcycle, wearing a helmet and a maroon hoodie, and was believed to be headed south on Highway 25E toward Bell County.
Deputies immediately went to Warren’s residence and found the 3-wheeled motorcycle as well as the helmet and hoodie he was wearing in a small storage building at the residence. Warren had left his residence and was believed to be in a truck.
Deputies were able to ping Warren’s phone and found his location in an area near Log Maintain in Bell County.
Pineville Police Officer Curtis Pingleton responded to the location. Officer Pingleton was assisted by Bell County Sgt Frank Foster and Deputy Jody Risner.
Police also recovered the handgun and $519 stolen from the cash register.
Warren was arrested without incident and transported to the Knox County Detention Center, where he still resides and is being held on a combined total cash bond of $101,000.00.
