UPDATE: The body found on Sinking Creek Road on August 23 has been identified as Regginald Dawayne Johnson (20) of Lexington. Johnson was originally from Detroit. Johnson’s body was found by a passerby. He had been shot multiple times.

The body of an African American man was found off Sinking Creek Road in Laurel County on Sunday. The man’s identity is not yet known. He was shot several times.
The man, 22 to 30 years old, stood approximately six feet tall and had a slim build. The words ”East Side” were tattooed inside his right bicep and “Raised Me” were inside the left bicep. No other identifying marks or information is available at the time of publication.

On Monday, a passerby spotted the body at approximately 4:43 p.m. in a wooded area off Sinking Creek Road. He had apparently been shot several times. The location is about 14 miles west of London.
An autopsy has been scheduled for this morning at the State Medical Examiner’s office in Frankfort.
This murder follows a road rage incident in June on Highway 80 that left Timoty Preston Miller, 59, from London dead and Brian Keith Eldridge, 46, in prison on murder charges. The two men had apparently been racing down the highway and were acquaintances.
