Cumberland Falls State Resort Park and Whitley County Public Library have teamed up to kick off the new year with the Cumberland Falls Painting Class.
Olivia Immitt is the park’s Program Services Supervisor, who will be visiting the library every first Wednesday of February, March, April, and May at 4 p.m. to offer this program at the library.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn how to paint specific animals, all while listening to fun animal facts throughout the class.
“The people that live in the surrounding communities around Cumberland Falls are fortunate to live in an area that has an abundance of wildlife,” said Immitt. “Animal facts shared in each program can help participants understand and thus appreciate the local ecology and environment on a deeper level.”
Part of the Kentucky State Park's mission is to offer free quality programming that is accessible to everyone.
By offering this free program, Immitt said she hopes to continue to create a strong relationship with local communities that surround Cumberland Falls State Resort Park.
Whitley County Public Library is located at 285 South Third Street in Williamsburg.
