Corbin Tourism and Convention Commission Board met on Tuesday, January 18, to approve the bid that begins the process for construction on downtown's new Farmer's Market pavilion. HWC Enterprises won the bid at $555,000.
The U-Shaped pavilion will be an 80x80 prefabricated metal-steel building and includes public restrooms, extra storage space, vehicle bays, and multiple outdoor sinks/washing stations.

"This project is in full force, and it'll be nice for Main Street as well as for our farmers and all the other events we can use that pavilion for," said Tourism Director Maggy Monhollen.

The expected construction will possibly be February 2022 and a tentative completion date of early Summer 2022.
Monhollen added, "We would love to finish out the Farmers Market season in the pavilion, and once it's done, it'll be a legacy project that will last for generations to come!"
