Corbin Police and Corbin Fire Department to compete for best chili at Depot's on Main

Corbin Police Department and Corbin Fire Department will go head-to-head in a chili cook-off to benefit the non-profit Carnegie Center in Corbin on Thursday, February 10.

Police Detective Robby Hodge, Sergeant Bill Rose, and Firefighters Mike Neal and Daryl Thompson will cook up their best chili recipes to win the chili trophy.

The event is open to the public, and anyone can visit the Depot on Main, blind taste test the competition's chili recipes (with an added drink) for an admission fee of $10, and then cast their vote for the overall best chili. The team with the most votes wins.

The competition will take place inside the Depot on Main's event room from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm that day.

All proceeds will go to the Carnegie Center of Corbin. This 501 C 3 non-profit organization aims to preserve the Carnegie Library and offer educational and cultural resources, programs, and events in the Corbin community.
