At May’s regular meeting, the Corbin City Commission approved a resolution for a new recreational project to take place in the city.
The Commission voted for a new playground on 402 Engineer Street.
As provided by the Land and Water Conservation Fund, the playground is expected to provide recreational resources for the health and well-being of the citizens of Corbin.
The Resolution 2022-3 goes on to say, “WHEREAS, the Land and Water Conservation Fund is limited to funding a maximum of fifty percent (50%) of proposed project costs estimated at $75,000.00, WHEREAS The City of Corbin will hold in reserve fifty percent (50%) of the proposed project costs for the purpose of matching the Land and Water Conservation Fund assistance.”
Sams stated he would find out the overall costs for the project on Tuesday, May 17.
